Introduction to SAR and Water Resource Applications
September 9, 10, and 11, 2008 at USGS/EROS
The United States Geological Survey Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center, in cooperation with the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing, is hosting a technical workshop at the EROS Center in Sioux Falls, SD in support of Land Remote Sensing training, Geographic Analysis and Monitoring, Earth Surface Dynamics, and Global Change Program Office research in the Yukon River Basin and the Prairie Pothole Region.
Attendees will have an opportunity to learn SAR preprocessing techniques, advanced interferometry, and polarimetry. A radar expert from the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing will provide a demonstration showcasing RADARSAT-2 and an automated water detection software. In addition, participants are invited to give short presentations regarding their specific radar applications and are encouraged to bring application related questions for group discussions.
